We live in Chicago with our 3 children, Liem, Raine and Joel. God has called us, along with a small team of people, to start a church in North Center, here in Chicago. Hue is originally from Vietnam and came to the United States, in 1984, as a refugee when he was 13 years old. He located in Minnesota where he met Vanessa, who had grown up there. Soon after, we were married and moved to Chicago for our jobs. Hue currently is, and for the last 25 years, working as an executive in the insurance industry.
In 2004 we visited a small church-plant in Chicago. It was at this very first visit that we experienced the presence of God, dedicating our lives to Him. We spent the next 12 years serving in various capacities, including serving on the eldership team there for the last 8 years. During that time, God led Hue to complete his Master degree at Moody Bible Institute. God continued to reveal more of Himself to our family, more of His love, goodness and freedom, and our desire grew stronger for Him to use us to share those things with everyone. He began revealing more of His plans for us, which included us planting a church here in September of 2016.
Restoration has been birthed from the call of God to share His love and goodness with others. Our desire is that through Restoration, Jesus will be revealed and many will experience the grace and freedom that comes from knowing Him.
